My Big Secret

I believe it is possible to heal.


I firmly believe you can heal from emotional eating, bulimia, anorexia, body hating, body shame, over-exercising, addiction to laxatives and disconnection from your body.... among other things. 

I believe it's possible because if I can do it, so can you. 

But I have a secret to tell you... there's one thing I don't always talk about that is THE. MOST. IMPORTANT. THING. when it comes to changing your life and healing you relationship with your body and food. 

All the books, coaching, journaling, retreats, and workshops can only get you so far. There's one thing that catalyzes positive change like no other and keeps you where you want to be. 

Here's my big secret:

Meditation.

Meditation came into my life at a time when I needed it the most. I was stuck, sick, in debt, unhappily single, and hating on my body. I knew what I had to do to take care of myself, but I didn't know where to start.

In a matter of weeks of meditating daily, my entire life changed. After a month, I got fit and healthy again. After 2 months, I had a new group of high vibe friends who made me happy. After 3 months, I cleared my debt and started my savings.

Meditation is magic. It keeps you aware, it keeps you grounded, it keeps you awake so that you notice when you start to check your body in the mirror for the 4th time that day. You notice when you grab for food instead of feeling your feelings. And you notice when you start to beat yourself up about that extra slice of cake (or entire cake). 

With awareness, we can cultivate choice. And there's no faster way to train yourself to become aware than to meditate everyday.
